How to Fix Dry Hair
1. Olive oil
This treatment can be used as a massage: pour some olive oil on your hands and gently massage your scalp in a circular motion. Repeat until your entire scalp has been massaged, then rub your hair with the olive oil (it’s best to use extra virgin olive oil), cover it with a towel and let it on for 45 minutes before rinsing. Rinse with warm water.
2. White vinegar

Using a teaspoon of white vinegar when rinsing your hair with warm water will have a beneficial effect on dry, brittle and fragile hair.
If your hair is very damaged it’s best to mix the equivalent of two cups of water and 1 of vinegar and pour it on your hair, then leave it on for up to an hour before rinsing, protecting the hair with a towel.
3. Avocado
The avocado pulp, mixed with the banana, or with mayonnaise, makes a perfect mask for strengthening the hair.
4. Mayonnaise
Mayonnaise can be a valuable resource for hair care as well as the main ingredient for a mask for dry hair.
For the preparation you will need:
- 1 egg white,
- 1/4 cup of plain yogurt and
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
After beating the egg white until stiff, you can add the yogurt and mayonnaise. Apply the mask on your, cover your hair with a cap or plastic bag and leave it for about 30 minutes, then rinse the mask with very cold water and wash your hair with the shampoo you usually use.
5. Eggs
Many of the DIY recipes for dry hair include eggs, which is because they are rich in protein and lecithin. The mask can be realized in many ways: you can directly use the beaten eggs, applying them to the hair strand by strand and leaving them on for about ten minutes. Attention! They leave s very unpleasant smell. It’s best to rinse with water and white vinegar.
Tip for very dry hair:
For very dry hair you can use a super nourishing mask made from 1 egg yolk, 1 tablespoon honey and 1/2 teaspoon of oil or wheat germ oil. It can be spread on all lengths and distributed with the help of a wide-toothed comb. It should be left for approximately twenty minutes and then rinse thoroughly.
